  • The various components of the building envelope are exposed to the extreme weather elements experienced during summer and winter

  • All components are effected, deteriorate and age at different rates

  • Roof assemblies should be inspected and maintained on an annual basis to ensure that they meet or exceed their anticipated lifespan

  • Masonry, stucco, siding and other exterior finishes will visually reveal their condition. Further investigation will be required to establish the underlying cause and the development of procedures to rectify the issue

  • Windows and doors create breaks in the air/vapour barrier of the building.  Deteriorated caulking and/or sealant may cause air leakage.  Investigation should be conducted on the condition of the windows and doors and respective sealing systems to ensure their efficient operation

  • Infrared Thermography can be utilized as a non-destructive method of identifying existing and/or potential problems with roofing, building envelope and electrical panels

  • Project management and /or contract administration is  required to ensure that both new and retrofit construction projects are completed in compliance with specifications/drawings and within budget
